Christmas Cherry Cake

An extraordinary Christmas cake formula to attempt !
Fixings

* 1 cup white sugar
* 1 cup margarine
* 2 eggs
* 1/2 cup squeezed orange
* 2 cups universally handy flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 12 ounces brilliant raisins
* 8 ounces divided glace cherries

Guidelines

1. Preheat broiler to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Oil and line with material paper one 9x5 inch portion container.
2. Cream spread or margarine and sugar together until light and cushioned. Add beaten eggs and squeezed orange and blend well.
3. Filter flour and baking powder. Save 1/3 cup of flour blend and throw with raisins and cherries (this will hold them back from sinking to the lower part of the cake). Add flour combination to hitter and mix. Add floured raisins and cherries to batter and blend until recently consolidated. Empty hitter into arranged container.
4. Prepare at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for 2-1/2 hours. Try not to serve until a few days old. Enclose the cake by cling wrap or foil and store in a fixed tin. The Christmas cake formula of cherry is prepared to serve...enjoy it !
